Each of our lives is broken up into different seasons. When one ends, it gives way to another. Or another way to look at it is that our lives are a broken puzzle that creates a beautiful masterpiece when put together. Where one puzzle piece ends, it fits right into another. When a season in our lives comes to a close, it doesn’t mean that our life is over, it just means another adventure is just beginning. C.S. Lewis says, “There are far, far better things ahead, than any we leave behind.”
There is always a time to grieve and process over the death of a season we once knew so well, but there is also a time to rejoice over the bright possibilities ahead! God does not take anything away, that He knows would be good for us. “God never witholds from His child that which His love and wisdom call good. God’s refusals are always merciful — “severe mercies” at times but mercies all the same. God never denies us our hearts desire except to give us something better.” Elisabeth Elliot
There is hope; a realization that there is always something better ahead. If we place our hope in Christ, then we can trust that the goodbyes are for our good, as well as, the new hellos are His best for us.
Where one chapter ends, another is just beginning.
